BCGEU Job Action - Arrow Lake Ferry Update



At this time, Friday, October 11, 2024

- The NEEDLES (Lower Arrow Lake Ferry between Fauquier and Needles) is sailing and allowing access to the general public today.
   Starting tomorrow the union will be implementing strike action by reducing sailings, every second  sailing will be canceled until further notice.

- Today there are no service interruptions anticipated for either the ARROW PARK or ADAMS LAKE Vessels.
   Starting tomorrow the union will be implementing strike action by reducing sailings.
   ARROW PARK will sail on the top of the hour from the East Terminal and quarter after the hour on the West Terminal.
   ADAMS LAKE FERRY will sail on the top and bottom of the hour from the West Terminal and at quarter after and quarter to the hour from the East Terminal

 - FRIDAY OCTOBER 11, 2024 - THE COLUMBIA  IS SAILING FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC BETWEEN 5:00 AM THROUGH TO 3:00 PM. After 3:00 pm the union will be implementing stike action by reducing sailings, every second sailing will be canceled until further notice.

    A SCHEDULE IS PROVIDED BELOW.

Please be advised that these service disruptions are due to BCGEU strike action and service can change.

Emergency services designation from the Labour Relations Board is still in affect and requires that any of the following groups be permitted to cross:

This designation includes:

  • any children going to school;
  • any ambulance;
  • any RCMP vehicle;
  • any emergency dispatch (including ambulance, RCMP, fire services, BC Hydro, etc.);
  • any health professional;
  • any individual attending regularly-scheduled medical appointments;
  • any individual in or responding to a mental or physical health emergency;
  • for any other emergency purposes.

Please refer to DriveBC for most current sailing interruptions. If your route is not listed it is because no interruption in sailings have been reported for that route. Further sailing interruption are possible on any of our four vessels.
